PIZZANISTA — Vice’s Munchies

Pizzanista is near and dear to The Berrics. It was started by former Berrics employee Salman Agah, who, if you didn’t know, is skateboarding’s original switch god. And there was a time when it was one of only a handful of places within walking distance of our old offices to get lunch.

Over the years, Pizzanista has become a staple of the skateboarding scene around Los Angeles. It has catered more video premiers and release parties than you can count on your fingers and toes and expanded to a second location in Long Beach. If you’ve ever had the fortune to try a slice, you already know that it’s delicious. If you haven’t, it’s definitely worth the trip the next time you’re in the area.

It’s great to see something that has helped sustain us through many a long work day getting recognized by the culinary community at large. Check out Pizzanista at the 19:40 mark of the latest episode of Munchies’s The Pizza Show. While there are plenty of places to grab a slice around LA, there’s only one Pizzanista.
