In the history of skateboarding, there have always been those individuals who consistently put themselves in harm’s way. Figgy stands out as that guy who takes a licking, keeps on ticking, and then comes back for more abuse. His filming schedule for the Emerica video was drastically shortened due to a freakish rib injury. Rather than heed his doctor’s order to stay off the board, he came back like a punch drunk prize fighter at the count of nine. Figgy’s “MADE” part is a testament to the fighter mentality in all of us; it was easily one of the finest things about 2016.
