‘Project Session’ Freestyles Latest Update With New Tricks

Session, the spiritual successor to EA’s SKATE series, arrived on XBox’s Game Preview program last summer and creā-ture Studios has been releasing updates steadily since then. The latest release—#0.7—improves the already incredible player physics AND adds a whole new trick repertoire, including a bag of tricks that are a little counter-intuitive (just call it the Mullen update): darkslides, casper slides, and Primo slides. To top it off, you can now watch the replay with a deliciously rounded corner vignetting, courtesy of the all-new fisheye lens feature.

You might remember that the Session teaser video made a huge splash at E3 a few years ago, at a time when SKATE 4 hysteria was at its peak—due in large part to EA’s periodic trolling on Twitter. (We interviewed creā-ture Studios’ Marc-andré Houde for our In Development series back in December 2016 when they launched the epic Kickstarter campaign—time flies, huh?)
