In the latest “Grosso’s Love Notes” from Vans, a series of “Loveletters” supplements highlighting skateboarding’s golden age, Jeff Grosso pays homage to Ray “Bones” Rodriguez. Introduced during the early years of Powell-Peralta, Rodriguez essentially was The Bones Brigade—his first pro model, with art by VCJ, was a colossal best-seller for its time.
