PEDRO BARROS WINS ‘RED BULL BOWL RIPPERS’

Pedro Barros continues his steady climb into legendary bowl ripping status with last weekend’s win at Red Bull Bowl Rippers in Marseille, France. (The Berrics live streamed the action on Sunday, but you can rewatch the 2-hour vod here.) Chris Russell came in second, with Luiz Francisco in third spot.

The contest was also notable in that it marked Shaun White’s transition to competitive bowl riding. It was admittedly a rough start for White, and he acknowledged as much in the Instagram post below:

*Red Bull Bowl Rippers contest qualifying was today … I did pretty terrible but was slightly expecting that for my first bowl contest ever. Gotta start somewhere and I’m excited for the next comp. Congrats to all the skaters that killed it today, super inspiring!! *
