Red Bull’s Lisbon Conquest Takes Place Tomorrow

Red Bull‘s Lisbon Conquest kicks off tomorrow. Are you ready to see the street skateboarding elite competing in the heart of Lisbon? Praça do Comércio will be center-stage for a truly unique competition. All the most famous Lisbon skate spots will be reproduced, and hosting the innovative competition will be Gustavo Ribeiro, who’s invited some of the biggest names on both the Portuguese and international skateboarding circuits.
Battling it out will be 24 skaters—12 male and 12 female—who will compete in successive one-on-one face-offs until two champions are crowned. But unlike traditional competitions, the jury will not award individual scores, but simply indicate who will progress to the next round – a concept that brings more excitement to the competition.
After the success of the first edition of the event last year in Paris—with the Eiffel Tower as the backdrop—tomorrow’s contest should be pretty amazing. Follow Red Bull for updates, and check back later this week for our recaps of the action. More information here.
