As part of its “Be The Change” initiative, The Sheckler Foundation recently celebrated the expansion of Parasite DIY park—the first public park in New Orleans, Louisiana—thanks to the hard work of COPING MECHANISM. The $10,000 grant that was awarded to COPING MECHANISM bankrolled a number of lasting improvements at Parasite, including quality steel coping and a variety of other metal work to ensure a more permanent hub for the New Orleans skate scene.
Parasite DIY is the 7th recipient of The Sheckler Foundation’s “Be The Change” award. The most recent honoree of the award is TACA, an organization that helps to change the lives of children with autism.
