STEVIE WILLIAMS — Overcoming Adversity

One of the pioneers of inner city skateboarding, Stevie Williams has seen it all. He started skating way back when the hood considered it a “white boy” activity. Back before it was considered cool and every rapper around owned a board. Back when he was “Lil Stevie”, gangbanging around LOVE Park as the black sheep of his family, his neighborhood, and the skate community. In celebration of Black History Month, Stevie goes in depth on how he embraced his roots and overcame adversity. Never forget where you come from. And never forget that through skateboarding, we’re all one in the same, despite any differences in skin color or background.
