Street League’s ‘Unsanctioned’ Contest Takes The Gloves Off Once Again

Last year, Street League Skateboarding was forced to scrap its 2020 World Tour schedule in January and, considering the impending Summer Games, it was a big one. Originally planned as three stops, the organization had to ultimately cancel every event as the competitive skateboarding world reset its hopes for Tokyo 2020. But all was not lost: Street League rebounded with the unique SLS Unsanctioned contest.

Today, SLS premiered the second annual unregulated event—filmed at Volcom’s private park—giving you long-awaited SLS vibes after more than a year with no major events. Today’s contest features skaters Dashawn Jordan, Mason Silva, Louie Lopez, Aurelien Giraud, Chris Joslin, Taylor Kirby, Ishod Wair, Tom Asta, Milton Martinez, and Elijah Berle. The contest was judged by Paul Rodriguez, Torey Pudwill, and Kelly Hart. Ten pros, three judges, zero sanctions. (Any questions?) Watch the video, above!

Every year, Street League is a highlight for The Berrics. Last time around, we went there with Chad Muska and he got some priceless behind-the-scenes clips for us. Watch that edit, from July 2019, below:
