The latest issue of The Skateboard Mag includes a Pooling Around feature called "’Sac Of Dreams." But what exactly is a “‘sac of dreams?” According to The Skateboard Mag’s Dave Swift, it’s “a cul-de-sac with three empty pools right next to each other—definitely a rarity.”
What compelled The Mag’s crew of bowl explorers to search out three perfect pools in a literal dead-end in suburbia? While they won’t reveal their super secret methods of uncovering backyard beauties, the California drought was a huge catalyst. With water conservation now a way of life in California, whole neighborhoods have turned a watchful eye towards wastefulness. No one wants their nosy neighbors peering over the fence and judging them for having a pool luxuriously full of that precious resource. Those pools got drained out of solidarity, and Swift’s crew reaped the rewards.
