When we first drew the brackets we didn’t know what to expect, we just knew it was gunna’ be an entirely new group of skaters–and like placing a cluster of hungry wild animals in a ring with one plump piece of succulent meat up for grabs–they were destined to flip and spin at each other’s throats until one champion was crowned. With BATB 9 composed of entirely New Blood, this year is arguably our most unique BATB yet; the same can be said for the Haroshi BATB 9 Championship Trophy. Combining the abstract concepts of his artistic talents with the symbolism of BATB 9, and a sleek minimalism and carpenter expertise exhibiting the precision and skill needed to win BATB 9, this trophy belongs in a museum right next to the Statue of David and the Mona Lisa. But like we all know, there can only be one winner to call the trophy their own. We’re thankful to have Haroshi absolutely kill it again with another one-of-a kind trophy, a trophy certainly worthy of our BATB 9 New Blood Champion. To view more of Haroshi’s artwork, click here!
