Tony Hawk does 50 tricks on his private vert ramp in honor of his 50th birthday in this new video from Ride Channel. The Birdman celebrated half a century on the planet earth yesterday. He’s spent the greater portion of that time driving skateboarding forward by inventing countless tricks and becoming the face of our culture in mainstream media. From video games to an appearance on The Simpsons, Tony has been there and done that. While many at his age and status would have hung up the board by now to kick back and enjoy the fruits of their labor, Tony is not that type of guy. He rifles off 50 tricks that are as progressive as any he’s ever done in his latest release. Hawk’s greatest trick of all may be showing the world that it’s possible to continue to skate at a professional level well into middle-aged life. He’s a true inspiration to us all.
