Video game publisher Activision‘s Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 + 2 is available now for next gen consoles PS5 and Xbox Series X|S (and coming to the Nintendo Switch later this year)! Remastered by the Vicarious Visions studio, the game features Nyjah Huston, Leo Baker, Leticia Bufoni, Aori Nishimura, Lizzie Armanto, Shane O’Neill, Riley Hawk, and Tyshawn Jones, joining the roster of OG pros. (Jeff Grosso also makes an appearance via tribute posters seen in some of the maps.) THPS in HD? GG!
PS5 and Xbox Series X|S players are getting a bunch upgrades: smooth 120 FPS at 1080P; native 4K at 60 FPS; spatial audio, and more. The remastered THPS 1 + 2 also features high-fidelity atmospherics, giving you sharper dynamic shadows, reflections, lens flares, and enhanced character textures. Basically, this looks and sounds hella tight.
The OG THPS launched in 1999—the game was in the beta-testing stage when Tony Hawk landed his historic 900—and it sold 9 million units during its initial run. To date, Hawk has been behind 18 games on 13 different platforms (not including the forthcoming rerelease), selling approximately a kadjillion units worldwide to stoked gamers.
