Watch This IRL ‘Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1’ Recreation Starring Nick Heflin Here

Video game publisher Activision‘s Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 + 2 was released a week ago, and already there have been a bunch of tributes and reaction videos. But one of them really stands out: an IRL version of the legendary series filmed at the West LA Courthouse. The clever edit, created by Eric Ward and TJ Kolesnik, features Nick Heflin skating the spot and tackling an array of challenges that will make OG THPS fans rejoice. The attention to detail in this video is fantastic—OG ‘THPS’ IRL? GG—check it out above! Oh, and incidentally: Activision announced this morning that Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 + 2 has sold 1MM units already—that’s the fastest in the history of the game franchise.

The OG THPS launched in 1999—the game was in the beta-testing stage when Tony Hawk landed his historic 900—and it sold 9 million units during its initial run. To date, Hawk has been behind 18 games on 13 different platforms (not including the forthcoming rerelease), selling approximately a kadjillion units worldwide to stoked gamers.
