TONY HAWK REFLECTS ON VANS PARK SERIES’ CONTRIBUTIONS TO GLOBAL SKATE COMMUNITIES
Tony Hawk is the official live broadcast commentator behind this year’s Vans Park Series. His wisdom lends a certain gravitas to the proceedings, and in this PSA from Vans he talks about how this contest series differs from all that came before it. “My biggest complaint to all those events [was] you’re bringing skateboarding to the city, you’re building this magnificent facility, and then you’re tearing it down and leaving,” Hawk says. With Vans leaving 4 out of 5 of this year’s parks for the community, it’s “the perfect way to show that you’re supporting skateboarding.”
