Tony Hawk Teaches Skateboarding In Latest MasterClass
MasterClass announced that Tony Hawk will be teaching skateboarding on the streaming platform that makes it possible for anyone to learn from the best. And, to celebrate the launch, they are also teaming up for “MasterClass presents Tony Hawk’s NBD / Best Trick Challenge,” where 21 of the world’s best skaters, including Hawk, Bucky Lasek, Lizzie Armanto, and more, will compete for “Best Trick.” Starting today, videos of each trick will be shared on MasterClass’ and Hawk’s social media channels. After public voting ends, the winners will be announced by Hawk on June 29.
Hawk’s MasterClass tutorial series includes more than 16 video lessons which cover not only the fundamentals of the sport, but also the Birdman’s storied career, as he reflects on his famous moments and his blockbuster video game series, Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater. Lessons include: The ollie; basic, intermediate, and advanced street skating; vert basic, intermediate, and advanced; and much more! Lessons will also include an assist from Lizzie Armanto and Riley Hawk.
MasterClass offers more than 85 classes taught by world-renowned instructors, in a variety of fields. The yearly all-access pass is available for $180, and can be streamed anytime on iOS, Android, desktop, Apple TV, Amazon Fire TV, Android TV, and Roku devices. Check it out here.
