14: GUY MARIANO – LIFE ON VIDEO — Top 50 Countdown

Guy Mariano’s five-part Life On Video retrospective was exhaustive, giving skaters a revealing glimpse into one man’s monumental career, culminating in his long-anticipated part. This video coincided with The Berrics acquiring The Skateboard Mag, a significant event for us. We put Guy on the cover, of course, but we also included thousands of his fans, as well: the mosaic portrait of Guy for issue #130 was crowdsourced on Instagram. The resulting photo collage stood at roughly twenty-feet tall—another towering achievement for a man who has inspired not just one, but several generations.
