VANS’ JEFF GROSSO SENDS ‘LOVE NOTE’ TO BLACK LABEL SKATEBOARDS
Jeff Grosso‘s latest “Love Note,” a supplement to Vans‘ “Loveletters To Skateboarding” video series, pays homage to John Lucero’s Black Label Skateboards. The board brand is now in its thirtieth year (and is Grosso’s alma mater from back in the bottle blonde days). Like all the “Love Notes,” Grosso distills the importance of this anti-establishment brand into 3 information-packed minutes. Hopefully, there are plans to expand this one into a full “Loveletter”; with a team that at one point included John Cardiel and Gino Iannucci, there is still plenty of meat left on the Black Label documentary bone.
