Wieger Van Wageningen was recently in London where he sat down with Route One for an interview. He discusses how he got sponsored and his history with The Firm, Enjoi, and Nike SB during this five-minute segment. When asked what he has planned for 2017, Wieger mentions that he has a new board sponsor. While he does not name who he is in the process of riding for, it should be noted that last month Karsten Kleppan posted a clip on Instagram featuring Wieger wearing a Skate Mental beanie sparking rumors that he may be the latest addition to Brad Staba’s camp. And Wieger is no longer listed on Enjoi’s team page. Take all of this info for what you will, but this definitely suggests that the rumors may be true.
