WKND RELEASES STAR-STUDDED ‘ALEX SCHMIDT PROFESSIONAL’ MOCK BIOPIC
Alex Schmidt was announced last week as WKND‘s newest pro, with the expectation that a Pro Part would follow very soon. Of course, Hyperion head honcho, and ex-Berrics funnyman, Grant Yansura defied expectations once again with this tongue-in-cheek retrospective on the rookie’s pro career (all of 1-week old). “Alex Schmidt Professional”—which may be a commentary of the average lifespan of a pro’s career—features cameos from actual longtime pros Danny Montoya, Kenny Anderson, and even Matt Field. And Schmidt’s ubiquitous bucket hat is the de facto co-star.
We presume that there will be an actual, traditional Pro Part on the way… but it’ll probably also be pretty unconventional. That’s WKND for ya: always keep ‘em guessing. Schmidt’s pro announcement from last “weekend” is below (congrats!):
