BOB BURNQUIST TAKES AN EMOTIONAL LOOK BACK AT HIS CAREER

Bob Burquist was the first skateboarder out of Brazil to fully break into the American industry through his innovative technical tricks and domination of the contest circuit starting in the mid ‘90s. His story inspired a generation of Brazilian skateboarders to chase their dreams, and showed that it is possible to make them come true. Burnquist paved the way for Rodrigo TX, Feilpe Gustavo, Letcia Bufoni, and the rest of the Brazilians that have risen to become some of the most respected pros in the industry. His leadership landed him in the position as head of the CBSK—and he subsequently put together Brazil’s 2020 Olympic skateboarding team.
