Yukito Aoki Wins Tampa Am 2021

Shizouka, Japan’s Yukito Aoki blew away hundreds of amateur skate competitors at last weekend’s Tampa Am 2021. The 18-year-old’s consistent runs were full of heelflip variations and his winning run (above) included a shocking backside flip where his back foot slipped off yet he miraculously rolled away anyway! This is the first Tampa Am since 2019, which coincidentally was also won by a Shizouka local: Kairi Netsuke. Congrats!
