DANIEL SHIMIZU — Retires

Daniel Shimizu has had a long and illustrious career in skateboarding. He skated for classic brands including Foundation and Stereo before joining Heroin Skateboards in 2012. He was also an early member of the Nike SB team. Given his track record, and the impact he’s had on skateboarding, there’s no dishonor in Daniel’s decision to bow out gracefully at the start of 2018. Have a look at the official announcement below. And if you’re in the Los Angeles area, you should definitely stop by this event and bid Daniel farewell.

“Come join me for a very, very much overdue retirement party. Time to move to Florida and finally buy that metal detector and sandals kit I’ve been dreaming about. Thank you so much Heroin Skateboards for letting me milk it for so long. Now, it’s time to ride off into the sunset to enjoy my golden years.” – Daniel Shimizu
