ETNIES X FLIP — Jameson SL Collection Featuring Matt Berger
etnies Skateboarding has teamed up with Flip for its latest collaboration featuring the Jameson SL. Mutual team rider, Matt Berger, is the featured skater in this sick new collection (seen in the video above).
Since Matt Berger first went pro for Flip, graphics of a beaver have been incorporated into many of his board graphics. In a rogue mission that strays from the course of collaboration, etnies has its own mission in mind: introducing Matt Berger’s alter ego, the slaying reaper of rails. The slaying reaper is a graphic representation of Matt’s deadly style of skating.
“Since I turned pro for FLIP, my board graphics have mostly been beaver-themed. I felt that this collaboration was a rad opportunity to go in a different direction taking inspiration from older graphics,” Matt Berger says.
Matt wanted to go a different direction, so etnies went there.

* Foam Lite 1 Insole
* Faux-Vulc cupsole construction with slim silhouette
* Geo-Hex tread pattern from the Jameson Vulc and RCT
* Midsole egg-crate construction for vulc-like board feel and flexibility
* Heel notch for heel hold and ankle mobility
* Thinly padded tongue and collar
