Gonz singles out Julien Stranger’s bluntslide-to-fakie as the progenitor for some seriously f’ed up clips in this video essay. But that’s just the tip of the iceberg—modern skateboarding is made up of an array of Stranger’s things. This bluntslide in question was done at the long-gone Safeway curb off of the J Church in SF. And the part in question, from A Reason For Living [1990], is basically a how-to for the future generation of street skaters.
