Lizard King Leaves Deathwish After 12 Years
Deathwish pro Lizard King has been synonymous with the brand since its inception in 2008, but today he marked the end of an era. The Head Reptile In Charge announced that he is leaving the Bakerboys brand via an Instagram post, reassuring his fans that there’s no love lost—he just needed a change:
“I’ve learned in life if you feel you need to change something, even if it’s scary, you have to do what feels right for you… Thank you Ellington, Greco, and Reynolds, for all your support over the years. I love you guys so much!!!”
Most of the world got to know Lizard (aka Mike Plumb) when Baker Has a Deathwish was released in 2008. The debut full-length had its fair share of classic quotes, but Lizard’s “Right here, for Satan” still endures as one of the most memorable in skate video history.
