Rest in Peace Ke'Chaud Johnson

It is with deep sadness and a heavy heart that we extend our condolences to Ke’Chaud Johnson‘s friends and family following his tragic passing earlier this week. Ke’Chaud was a beloved skateboarder whose radiant spirit touched the lives of many. Known for his power, speed, and effortless style, Ke’Chaud left an indelible mark on the skateboarding community with his talent, positive attitude, and undeniable presence.

Rest in Peace Ke'Chaud Johnson

We first laid eyes on Ke’Chaud in the winning 2011 YOUnited Nations entry, ‘Dream,’ and we weren’t able to take our eyes off of him ever since. Bursting with mach 10 speed and pop that could ollie up and over anything, it was clear as day that Ke’Chaud had something special and would leave an unmistakable mark on the industry.

Rest in Peace Ke'Chaud Johnson

A pioneer in his craft, Ke’Chaud’s remarkable talent on the board was matched only by his kindness and generosity off of it. He dedicated himself to teaching aspiring skaters, always willing to share his knowledge and passion as a mentor, a teacher, and a true friend who lit up every room and skate park with his infectious smile.

Rest in Peace Ke'Chaud Johnson

The skateboarding community has lost a true legend, but Ke’Chaud’s legacy will forever live on in the streets of Dallas and in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know him. Ke’Chaud leaves behind a community united by shared memories of the most positive, uplifting, generous, and kind-hearted individually anyone had the pleasure of knowing.
