WBATB‘s Adrianne Sloboh grew up in Simi Valley, a conservative-leaning town in California. As an African-American, she had to navigate ignorance, subtle racism, and outright hostility; with the events of 2020 reaching a fever pitch last summer, Sloboh finds that it’s more important than ever to demonstrate respect and compassion, no matter your background.
