Longtime Element rider Mason Silva has called it quits after 8 years. The company turned him pro in 2017, following a blitz of productivity that had Silva popping out clips left and right for all of his sponsors. In 2015, The Skateboard Mag named him Year’s Best Am; last year he was essentially the face of Element’s full-length Peace with a trailer where he shut down SF’s famed California Street gap.
Silva made the announcement last night via his Instagram:
“I’ve had the privilege of riding for Element for 8 years now. Needless to say, its been amazing. The team, videos, trips, and everything in between. I’ll always be grateful for the way they brought me up, but it’s time to change it up. Love you all. Thank you for always supporting me.”
