KROOKED INTRODUCES GUEST ARTIST CASEY JONES

Krooked Skateboarding continues its long-standing tradition of supporting artist skaters with its latest “Katalog,” featuring the work of Casey Jones. He’s a great match for Krooked’s epic doodling, and this visually pleasing partnership comes with a backstory—courtesy of Krooked’s Matt Gottwig.

“I met Casey Jones at Yauger skatepark in Olympia, Washington, around the year 2000. We were enemies at first, ’til one day I sarcastically told him I considered him to be one of my “best buds,” he said “same.” We’ve been best buds ever since. Casey was one of the first people to inspire me to get a sketchbook and just draw. Lines, shapes, shadows, characters, words, thoughts, ideas, infinite possibilities. His art has a truly unique style that cannot not be taught or learned; it’s something he just has. You could see something as simple as a smiley face and know that’s a Casey Jones smiley face. He is a man of action and the world is his stew (studio).”
