TORO Y MOI TALKS ABOUT THE FIRST SKATE VIDEO HE EVER SAW

Toro y Moi, also known as Chaz Bundick, has been a skater for hella years. (Back in 2013 he even got his own collab board with Alien Workshop.) In FADER’s “First Times” series, Bundick talks about several introductory moments in his life—most notably the first skate video that he was super into. Many of you will most likely nod in agreement with homeboy’s pick:

“The first video I really fell in love with is Tilt Mode’s Man Down. With Louie Barletta and Jerry Hsu—anything from enjoi back then, too—Marc Johnson… I was all about it. They were so jokey! And all the tricks they were doing are sort of like what kids are doing now—joke tricks on Instagram. They were doing that then, just having fun; not trying to make baller moves with every trick. Just having fun, and the music was amazing!”
