When April Skateboards launched yesterday, Yuto Horigome‘s signature pro model featured the image of him getting smacked upside the head with a 9-inch double-layer confetti cake with cream cheese frosting. Now we know that the graphic is a reference to Yuto going pro, when Shane O’Neill showed that graphic to Horigome before getting splattered. (So meta!) This Nike SB x April pro part will explain everything.
Horigome made a huge impact in 2016 when he was featured in The Berrics’ inaugural Next New Wave series, filming an ender for his NNW part (below) that honestly raised the bar for anyone planning on stepping to that LA rail. In his pro part, Horigome focuses on intimidating rails, gaps, and street shit, but don’t forget that homie can landed a perfect McTwist at the drop of a hat, too.
