Carpet’s Abdeldayem Bros Talk About Their Nike SB Dunk High Design

This morning, Nike SB uploaded an interview with Carpet‘s Ayman and Osama Abdeldayem, and it really ties the room together (so to speak). The Baltimore, Maryland-based brand is well-known for its super-duper limited, lovingly handcrafted drops, and its latest project—the Dunk High by Carpet Company—brings that creativity and unique aesthetic to feet around the world. The duo sat down (on very some nice bar stools) with the Snkrs app for this chat, direct from Carpet HQ, that covers their upbringing, their day jobs, and the filming of Carpet’s recent promo video for Nike SB in Dubai. Speaking of the promo (check it out here), the bros say that they were partially inspired by early-’00s skate videos like Girl’s Yeah Right, which had a healthy amount of skits in them. “I don’t know if it’s subliminally in our heads,” Ayman says about the desert skit that weaves through the video. “I love this so much.”
