Hermann Stene‘s last part for Free Skate Mag was back in 2017, so it’s safe to say he’s been due up to produce some more magic for the mag. Today, we get to relish in the wizardry as the gnarly Norwegian handles hectic handrails, long ledges, and quick feet in the cuts with one beautiful 360 flip to wrap up his ‘Lillie Rotta’ part. Filmer and edited Pekka shared some background info to Free Skate Mag on Hermann’s ender :
“He went there ten times over the span of three years to try that tre flip (and each time at least two hours trying), and he caught it so good every single time… I’m sure he had that thing under his feet a thousand times before he finally put it down. There’s been some stuff that went down over it before… I don’t even know if tre flip is the craziest, but it’s definitely the best looking one I think. It was so high and he caught it so good.”
We’d have to agree. That 360 flip was exquisite…
